Why don't we ship overseas? (And what to do about it.)

Dear reader,

I’m so sorry that we no longer ship internationally. There are a few reasons:

  • We are a tiny company, just me and Mr. Bowen carrying things to the P.O. We don’t have the bandwidth to focus on the ever-shifting costs and requirements for international shipping.

  • Since nearly every country has different shipping costs, it’s difficult for us to charge the right amount. So we usually undercharge and lose money on every single overseas shipment. 😬

  • Tracking numbers don’t work once the product leaves the US border, and when people email us to ask about their package, we just get anxious.

In short: we would if we could, but we can’t.

Suggestions from readers:

  • We’ve heard great things about Stackry as an international forwarder. If you set yourself up there, you’ll get a U.S. shipping address you can use on this and other websites. Their shipping calculator shows rates to Australia, for example, that we can’t get for readers ourselves.

  • Sarina’s readers also like Ship7. One reader who ships to Germany says “you can pick your carrier, they have about 6 different options. Last 2 shipments I paid around $55 for 5-8 books and got them in 3 days.”

And don’t forget:

You can always buy signed book plates from Sarina’s shop. They ship for the cost of a stamp and look cute, too!

Thank you for understanding!

Love,

Sarina & Mr. Bowen
