We Are All Guilty Here by Karin Slaughter

This has been my most coveted ARC of the year! When the publisher handed me the new Karin Slaughter galley three months before publication, I opened it that same night. And in spite of my jet lag, I almost couldn’t put it down.

Two days later I emerged, breathless, trying to process everything I loved about this book. The strong but difficult but lovable female lead. The tangled family connections. The intricate plot.

The press release that was slipped inside my galley copy says: “Over the last 25 years, Karin has established herself as more than a writer—she’s a cultural voice.” And, yup, that’s not hyperbole. What I admire about this book is that there are so many 2025-style fears in here. Human trafficking. Kids gone off the rails. This author understands that the best way to keep me turning pages is to play all my personal fears like a fiddle. I could not put it down.

I also could not be more excited to see that it’s listed as a series starter! Clear my schedule for the week book II comes out…
