This premise, where two strangers make a pact to exact revenge on the other’s tormentor, is a classic. I love what the author did with it here! I didn’t see that coming. Note: the subject matter is pretty grim.

This is a book that lives in service to its twists, the kind that plays cat and mouse with its reader. I couldn’t put it down.
