Cherry Baby by Rainbow Rowell

Lord this was good. Just so flipping good. The ending is perfection, and absolutely took me by surprise.

I am glad it’s not my job, though, to write the back cover description for Rainbow Rowell’s books. And that’s because each one is about everything. This one is about, in no particular order: love, family, body image, ambition, the complexity of marriage, art and self worth. All her books do that, and every one of them feels like an epic journey, even though Cherry Baby takes place over the span of a few months.
